T Michael Lamjathang Haokip concludes Henglep tour

Churachandpur, November 20 2021: A team led by T Michael Lamjathang Haokip, intending candidate of Manipur Assembly Election 2022 from 57 Henglep AC on Friday concluded the two days tour programme of Henglep Sub-division Headquarter and surrounding villages.

The team began the tour at P Sejol village on November 18 with the inspection of sites for implementation of tourism project "Development of Eco-Tourism Destination" under State Plan 2020-21, Tourism Department, Government of Manipur, said a release issued by the PRO of T Michael Lamjathang Haokip.

Mangte Jonathan Kom, MCS, SDO Henglep and Major Amit Pathak, 36 Assam Rifles also accompanied the visiting team on the inspection.

The team also inspected the site for construction of a helipad facility under National Seismic Risk Mitigation Programme (NSRMP), implemented by the Department of Relief & Disaster Management, Government of Manipur.

Moreover, T Michael Lamjathang Haokip also attended the closing ceremony of Men's Open Football Tournament and Men-Women Open Volleyball Tournament organised by Najang Youth Club on November 18 .

During the tour, Michael Haokip visited ten major villages including Khanpi, Neilien, Phaibong, Najang, Ainujang, Vongmol, Henglep, Thinghijang, Khaopijang and Bungkot.

Many village chiefs, elders, Church leaders and the public extended their appreciation to the visiting team for the initiative and concern.

The release further mentioned that a tour report and recommendation on the plights of the people of Henglep AC would also be submitted to the Chief Minister soon for examination and consideration by the State Government.

It may be mentioned that T Michael Lamjathang Haokip is also the secretary general of Thadou Students' Association, General Headquarters (TSA-GHQ) .
