Army recruitment rally concludes

Senapati, October 20 2016: In the midst of bandh and general strikes, the Army recruitment rally recorded a huge turned out, our correspondent reports.

The apex body of the District Naga People's Organization (NPO) in a press statement has lauded the efforts of the 59th Mountain Brigade Senapati, District Administration, Police, Medical Department and Recruitment officials especially ARO Colonel Mukherjee and Major Suarabh Diddi for conducting the rally in a fair and transparent manner.

NPO and SDSA have appealed to the authorities concerned to organize such rally every year in the district.

Till the last day of the rally, more than 1000 youths made it to the medical rounds.

The written examination will be held in November this year at Rangapahar, Dimapur.

Closely monitored by Army officials, police, district administration and civil societies, the rally visibly witnessed the painful sight of educated and drops out youths fighting hard to get a job.

The recruitment officials noted that youths of Manipur are capable physically and mentally but lacks proper preparation and pre-recruitment training which caused high number of rejection.
