Imphal, November 19 2021:
The Joint Tribe Students' Association (JTSA) has resolved not to endorse the 24 hours shutdown called by ATSUM.
In a statement, JTSA said that the total shutdown and economic blockade called by ATSUM is untimely and uncalled for as educational institutions are beginning to open after a prolonged lockdown and as festive season is approaching.
Saying that the bandh will remain ineffective along the NH-37, the association stated that National projects under JTSA jurisdiction will also continue in full swing.
All shops will also remain open to the public, it added.
Continuing that the association support the endeavour of the Bill, JTSA urged the Government to take actions in the interest of all tribal people.
