Senapati cops recover money stolen from ATM booth

Making a successful breakthrough, the Senapati police have nabbed the main accused and have also recovered all the money stolen from the Senapati ATM booth some days back.
The efforts put in by SP K Kabib, IPS, SDPO Hemant Pandey, IPS, Addl SP Khuplen Lolhouvum, MPS, OC Jonah Riamei, ASI Md Ajahar Ali and others led to the arrest of the accused identified as Tuba Kuinamei of Tumuyon Khullen village and the stolen money was recovered from him.
According to police sources, initially a joint complaint was received from one W Rajesh Singh and Yaikhomba Meitei, representatives of Radiant Cash Management Pvt Ltd stating that a sum of Rs.33, 96, 500/- was stolen by unknown miscreants from the ATM booth located at Hazungla house, Senapati Bazaar.
Hence, a case under FIR No.25(12)2015 U/S 380/409/34 IPC was lodged at at SPT-PS and investigation started.

In the course of the investigation, the police team under the command of Inspector OC R Jonah under the supervision of SDPO Hemant Pandey, IPS picked up four suspects for examination and interrogation.
In the process, the main accused identified as Tuba Kuinamei s/o (L) Kalong of T Khullen village was arrested on December 11 and the stolen cash amounting to Rs 29,97,500 was recovered from his disclosure.
The remaining amount of Rs 8,65,500 was recovered on December 16.This was kept concealed by the accused and his associates.
The main accused along with 2(two) other suspects were produced before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Senapati who remanded them to Judicial custody.
All efforts are being made to arrest 2(two) other accused.
