Jiri student bodies mull agitation on TET exam centre issue

Imphal, October 18 2012: The student bodies of Jiribam sub-division have threatened to initiate different forms of agitation if separate TET exam centre is not opened at Jiribam within October 20, reports our Correspondent.

Representatives of student bodies such as AMSU District Committee, MSF Special Branch and DESAM Local Council of Jiribam said that candidates of the Sub-Division are facing lots of inconvenience as the Sub-Division is 222 kms away from Imphal.

Apart from the huge physical distance, the dilapidated condition of NH-37 is another factor likely to deter conveyance of the candidates of Jiribam.

As such, there is need to set up an exam centre at Jiribam, the student bodies said.
