Imphal, September 18 2011:
The DPC result for Primary Teachers, Hindi Primary Teachers and Hindi Graduate Teachers is likely to be marred with another round of controversy as All Manipur DPC Faced Candidates' Association for Primary Teacher, Hindi Teacher and Hindi Graduate Teacher has brought certain loopholes of the results to light.
The controversial result was declared by Principal Secretary (School Education) Dr Suresh J Babu on September 4 last after Gauhati High Court directed the State Government to declare the DPC results within a period of three months.
Talking to The Sangai Express, association president Th Subhaschandra Singh said, in the advertisement issued on September 12, 2006 regarding recruitment of 1423 Primary Teachers, 203 Primary Hindi Teachers and 46 Hindi Graduate Teachers, neither reservation for visually handicapped persons nor OBC were mentioned.
However, in the recently declared results, four visually handicapped persons have been selected against the 42 reserved seats for physically challenged persons in the Primary Teachers' section, he said.
Subhaschandra also questioned how results for OBC category could be declared separately as the advertisement did not mention seats reserved for them.
It may be mentioned that in the recently declared results, 178 OBC (Meetei) candidates, 57 OBC (Pangal) and seven OBC (others) candidates were declared selected in the Primary Teachers section while in the Hindi Primary Teachers section, 25 OBC (Meetei) and eight OBC (Pangal) candidates were selected.
In the Graduate Teachers section as well, six OBC (Meetei) and two OBC (Pangal) candidates have been selected.
Alleging that many candidates who secured less marks in written examination were included in the final selection list, Subhachandra also expressed apprehension of marks tampering in the recruitment process.
Taking into account all these mistakes, Subhachandra said, he had filed an RTI application seeking information on some crucial points on September 16 last.
Among many, the application sought a copy of the file notings of the Secretariat relating to the enquiry report of the enquiry committee and the recommendation of the Review DPC.
It also asked for a copy of the statement of marks of the written test/examination submitted by BOSEM to the DPC along with the copy of forwarding letter of BOSEM.
The RTI application also questioned whether the reservation rules/orders were followed by DPC/Review DPC in recommending candidates.
It also sought a copy each of the Act/Rules/orders regarding reservation of vacancies for ST/SC/OBC which were applied at the time of declaration of the result DPC result.
