Imphal, March 18 2021: Labour and Employment Minister Th Satyabrata Singh distributed gifts to widows of Yaiskul AC today.

The gift presentation programme was organised by Brahmapur Aribam Leikai Sub-Committee at Youth Club Brahmapur under the sponsorship of Widows and Orphan Resource Development Trust, Ghari Awang Leikai.

The programme was also attended by Laimayum Inunganbi, corporator, Imphal Municipal Council ward number 18 and N Gunindro as presidium members.

Minister Th Satyabrata Singh feted the Widows and Orphan Resource Development Trust for the activities undertaken by the trust for the welfare of widows and weaker sections of the society and said they have been rendering good humanitarian service for quite some time now.

He also informed the attendee that there are also policies under which widows can be engaged in different activities according to their specific talents and skills by providing financial assistance without any interests in groups of 5, 7 or 10 persons per group.

The widows can engage themselves in activities like pickle making, incense sticks production etc.

at their own home to generate a livelihood, the Minister added.

He also urged everyone not to hesitate in seeking assistance from him and he also assured that he will do the needful in this regard.
