Free heart screening camp organised

Kakching, February 18 2025: Sky Hospital & Research Centre Pvt Ltd in association with District Heart Association, Kakching and Manipur Heart Foundation organised a Free Heart Screening Camp at Community Health Centre Kakching today.

The camp provided an opportunity for early detection of asymptomatic and symptomatic heart diseases to the people of Kakching.

Speaking at the occasion, Dr L Shyamkishore, Chairman and Chief Cardiologist of Sky Hospital stated that heart disease is one of the most common diseases that occur in human beings.

To reduce the risk of future complications from heart disease, such screening camps are carried out for early detection.

"Such camp was organised every year for the past many years, but due to the Covid 19 and the ongoing turmoil in the State, it was halted for some time.

Starting from today, the health camp will be conducted at various locations across the State," stated Dr L Shaymkishore.

He also appealed to the people to avail the benefits of such free heart camps conducted by the Sky Hospital and called for people participation in making it success.

Around 94 individuals participated in the heart camp and provided various services including ECG, Echo, Blood Sugar and other tests at free of cost.

Free medicines were also distributed to the people.
