Results of Fish crop Competition declared

Imphal, November 16 2012: The results of the Fish Fair-cum-Fish Crop Competition, 2012 organised by the Department of Fisheries, Manipur on November 14, 2012 at Hapta kanjeibung, Palace Compound were declared today.

According to the result, the first prize for producing highest quantity of fish was bagged by N Kumar Singh of District Fishery Oficer, Bishnupur with a total production of 4832 kg of fish; Kh Inaocha Singh of District Fishery Officer, Thoubal took away the second prize with a total fish production of 4157 kg while the third prize was received by S Dhaballo Singh of Chief Executive officer, FFDA, Bishnupur who has been credited with production of 3265 kg of fishes.

In the Highest Fish Production Officer category, M Lokendro Singh, Chief Executive Officer, FFDA, Bishnupur bagged the award in the valley district category while L Kumar Singh, District Fishery Officer, Ukhrul took away the price for the Hill district category.

S Surchandra Singh (Directorate), Hiyangthang and Kh Tiken Singh,CEO (Bpr), Kumbi were given the prizes for the Highest Producer of Indigenous Fish (Pengba and Ngaton) .
