Imphal, August 16 2015: JCILPS Student's Wing, Thoubal district has strongly condemned police action against womenfolk, who were staging a peaceful torch rally at Thoubal Melaground area last night.

In a statement, the students' body also decried the conduct of a woman ASI who not only kicked women protesters but also shout abusive words at the protesters.

The statement further said that befitting action would be taken against the ASI by the Student's Wing if the Government fails to punish her.

The Student's Wing also serious concern over not having ambulance at Thoubal district hospital.

They questioned how an important hospital of the district does not have ambulance.

Until ILPS is implemented in the State, no shops owned by non-Manipuris are allowed to open, added the statement.
