UG Girls' Hostel inaugurated at RIMS

A newly constructed 150-bedded Undergraduate Girls' Hostel (Ladies Hostel-III) was inaugurated today at Regional Institute of MediCal Sciences (RIMS), Imphal.
Prof G Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director of RIMS, Imphal inaugurated the hostel in the presence of Prof N Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent, RIMS Hospital, Deputy Director (RIMS), Imphal, Chief Account Officer cum Financial Advisor, Sub-Dean, faculty members, staff and students of RIMS, Imphal.
According to a release issued by RIMS, the state-of-the-art facility is a testament to RIMS's commitment to providing a conducive and comfortable living environment for its students.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof G Sunil Kumar Sharma congratulated the first occupants and highlighted the hostel's modem amenities and high standards, elevating student living conditions.
He outlined RIMS's master plan, which includes a 750-bed-ded hospital and new residential and hostel facilities over the next eight years.
"Ladies Hostels I and II will be demolished in phase one, with students accommodated in new facilities.
Future projects also include additional hostels, residential complexes, and enhanced sports and recreational amenities", he added.
He also shared that RIMS has partnered with the Ministry of Jal Shakti to implement a modem water supply system for the campus and neighbouring areas.
The Director highlighted sustainability in managing hostel operations amid rising inflation and reaffirmed RIMS's commitment to enhancing campus facilities.
Furthermore, Prof G Sunil Kumar assured students of ongoing improvements and sought their cooperation for the success of these initiatives.
