Imphal, December 01 2015: The Zeliangrong Students' Union Manipur (ZSUM) strongly condemned the act of some miscreants who committed atrocities against one Umashankar, an excavator operator on Dec 10 at Old Lungleiband (Pinjang) .

It is so disappointing that some miscreants in the guise of armed groups are blatantly killing/shooting workers in Tamenglong district, a statement issued by Shangruh Gangmei, State secretary.

ZSUM said.

ZSUM is perturbed by the serious disturbances and threat to the life and properties of the innocent workers.

This act of aggression and barbarism is nothing but a threat to developmental works and if such insanity should continue, the ZSUM, as an apex organisation of the district will nip such elements in the bud to pave way for congenial environment.

It urged the perpetrators to clarify the act.
