Security forces arrest five UG cadres

Imphal, July 15 2014:
A combined team of Thoubal and Imphal West police commandos rescued a boy on way to Moreh for recruiting in the banned organisation KYKL during intensive frisking at Pallel PS gate based on reliable information on July 13 .
Two active workers of KYKL were arrested and they have been identified as Langpoklakpam Abe alias Indrani (31) w/o (L) L Lokeshwor Singh of Laimakhong Kanto Saban a/p Moreh Ward No 5 and Khangjalakpam Gingora alias Modison (19) yrs S/o Kh Samanda Singh of Tera Moirang Hanuba Leirak, Imphal.
A case has been registered at Kakching Police station.
In another incident, a combined team of Thoubal commando and troops of 2 AR conducted house search operation at Heirok Part II Mayai Leikai on July 13 .
In the operation, Laishram Iboyaima alias Amuba alias Romeo alias Yaima (43) s/o (L) L Gouramani Singh of Heirok Part II Mayai Leikai, Sergeant of PLA/RPF was arrested.
He was involved in transportation of ammunition and IEDs from Myanmar to Manipur.
A mobile handset was seized from his possesion.
A case has been registered at Thoubal PS and investigation is underway.
In another incidnet, Troops of Red Shield Division apprehended two ZRF cadres from general area College Veng, Churachandpur yesterday.
Based on the specific information regarding the presence of ZRF cadres in general area College Veng for carrying out extortion activities, the troops of Red Shield Division immediately launched an operation and apprehended the cadres.
The apprehendees have been identified as SS Brig PS Hangshing (43), s/o Late Doupu and SS Def Secy Lunte, age (25) s/o Khanzachin of New Lamka.
Both apprehended cadres are resident of Churachandpur district.
One Single Barrel Rifle, two mobile phones, two Sim cards, one Extortion book of ZRF, one pair Combat dress, three Mag pouches and one combat carry bag were recovered from their possession at the time of apprehension.
Both individuals were later handed over to Imphal West Police Station, said a press release issued by PIB (DW) .
