CADA seeks public apology from BJP Manipur Pradesh

Imphal, January 15 2022: The Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol (CADA) has strongly condemned the uploading of a CADA's awareness programme photo on the Facebook page named 'BJP Manipur' allegedly trying to portray it as an achievement of BJP.

Reacting strongly against such a misleading act, CADA has urged the BJP, Manipur Pradesh to clarify on the matter at the earliest and to issue a public apology.

In a press release, CADA has informed that the said photo is the photo of a public meeting held as a part of the ongoing CADA's campaign under the banner 'People's responsibility in curbing the consumption of illicit substances during election' at Thoubal Kshetri Leikai Haotabi Lampak on January 10 .

Unfortunately the photo of the above public meeting has been uploaded in the Facebook page 'BJP Manipur' under the heading 'The BJP Govt's 'War on Drugs' gains momentum' along with the caption 'Anti drug awareness campaign held at Thoubal district', added the press release.

Stating that such a post is misleading and may create confusion among the public, CADA denounced such an act of deception thereby trying to portray the CADA's continued campaign against illicit substances as an achievement of BJP.

Therefore CADA has urged BJP, Manipur Pradesh to clarify and issue a public apology at the earliest.
