Govt announces names for Gallantry Police Medal award winners

Imphal, August 14 2015 : List of police personnel and officers, who will be given awards by the Manipur Chief Minister for outstanding Devotion to Duty and President's Correctional Service Medal for Meritorious Service, has been announced on Friday.

An order by the Joint Secretary (Home) Govt of Manipur said that Manipur Chief Minister Police Medal for Gallantry will be awarded to Deputy SP (SDO) of Imphal West district Police, Sachidananda, late Havildar of 7th IRB Solomon Khongsai, Havildar of 7 IRB who is attached to Imphal West Commando, Khanglinlung, personnel of 3rd IRB attached to Thoubal district commando, L Hemanta, Sub-Inspector of Imphal West Commando, Kh Pathou, Sub-Inspector of Imphal West, Th Suraj, Havildar of 4th IRB who is attached to Imphal West Commando, A John Phello, women Assistant Sub Inspector of Imphal East, O Somolini and Jamandar of 6th MR who is attached to Imphal West Commando, S Birla.

Manipur Chief Minister Police Medal for outstanding Devotion to Duty will be awarded to Home Guard (VA) rifleman M Jugindro, Havildar of 2nd MR Md Rahimuddin, constable of Imphal West Police, T Token, Havildar of 1st MR Md Anwar Shah, OC Inspector of Imphal West District Police Commando, P Sanjoy, rifleman of 2nd MR L Premjit, Havildar of 6th IRB W Robindro and fireman of fire service dept M Romendro.

Meanwhile, Superintendent of Manipur Central Jail in a statement said that the President's Correctional Service Medal for Meritorious Service will be awarded to AS Tobin Tangkhul, Head Warder of Manipur Central Jail, Sajiwa, Th Sharat Meetei, Warder of Manipur Central Jail, Imphal and T Okendro Sharma, Warder of Manipur Central Jail, Imphal.
