Lamka, June 14 2014 : The Agriculture Department Churachandpur distributed several varieties of high yielding seeds and farm implements to farmers of the district under the National Food Security Mission during a training programme organized at its office today.

With the State expecting the windfall of monsoon any moment, the Department is devising a policy to increase the produce of local farmers by aiding them on the technical know-how as well as assisting them materially in the form of seeds and equipment.

Three bags of RCM-6 and 25 packets of PCA � 807 varieties of rice, 25 pieces of knapsack sprayer, about dozen Cono weeders, and 5 sets of water pump are among the materials that were handed out to the farmers.
