Tamenglong scribes, EGM, MHJU boycott Jendai

The Tamenglong District Working Journalists' Union (TADWJU) has boycotted the local MLA of Tamenglong, Samuel Jendai for allegedly insulting the media of Tamenglong.
A press release issued by the president of TADWJU stated that yesterday, the local MLA, along with Education Minister Th Radheshyam and MDS Chairman K Robindro Singh, arrived at Tamenglong to inaugurate various projects in the district.
It alleged that while inspecting the District Sports Complex gallery, the MLA insulted the media houses of Tamenglong using rude/offensive words, thus hurting the sentiments of the journalists of the district.
Condemning the action of the MLA and demanding a formal apology for his behaviour, it mentioned that the Union has boycotted the Tamenglong MLA and also sought the cooperation of All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU), Editors' Guild Manipur and MHJU regarding the Incident.
On the other hand, Editors Guild Manipur has strongly condemned the rude/offensive words of Tamenglong MLA Samuel Jendai and announced that it has decided to boycott the MLA until he reaches an amicable solution with TADWJU.
The Manipur Hill Journalists Union has also strongly condemned the conduct of the MLA and supported the boycott call of the Tamenglong journalists and EGM.
