Saikul AC in regressive state, says Seikholal Haokip

The Saikul Assembly Constituency is in a regressive state over the past 50 years when it comes to developmental works owing to incompetency of the leaders.
The above statement was made by Seikholal Haokip, the NPP candidate from Saikul AC while addressing a press meet at his residence located at Catholic Colony, Lamlongei Mantripukhri in connection with his flag hoisting ceremony and the launching of his election campaign today.
He further stated that Saikul AC which is only 35 kilometres away from Imphal city has no proper road connectivity and still lags behind in other aspects of development.
The intending candidate maintained that he had decided to contest the ensuing election with the sole aim to work for the welfare of Saitu AC which had been left in a pitiable condition by the previous leaders.
Expressing concern over the issue of unemployment among the people of the constituency, he assured that if he is elected, he will take up initiatives for pomiculture thereby using the unexploited lands of the constituency and to generate sustainable income.
The flag hoisting ceremony was attended by Chiefs of the villages, public leaders among others while the Deputy Chief Minister, Y Joykumar graced the occasion as the chief guest.
