Imphal, February 11 2025: Former MHRC Member Yambem Laba has issued apologies to Pambei-led UNLF for making misleading statements against the latter.

He issued apologies before media persons after a meeting with members of Pambei-led UNLF today.

He apologised for "wrongly" describing the Pambei-led UNLF as a "surrendered party" during a programme on a local TV channel.

He further apologised for posting misleading statements on Facebook on October 2, 2024 speculating "an exchange between 2 Meitei captives with 11 Kuki inmates in jail and Mark Haokip" .

Laba clarified that persons who asked him at his home to remove the post from Facebook didn't identify themselves as members of Pambei-led UNLF .
