MSCW conducts legal awareness programme at Kaibi village

Imphal, December 10 2021:
The Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW) organised a one day legal awareness programme at Kaibi Village community hall in Senapati district today.
Speaking at the event, Thumlip Tiningphal Monsang, chairperson (i/c), MSCW, said MSCW is responsible for bringing gender equality and empowerment in the society.
She also explained the role of the commission and added that MSCW also takes up complaint cases and deals with family problems too.
She also encourage women to come forwards if they are facing any problems.
S Marysena and Athini Victoria, advocates spoke as resource persons on different topics, Lourembam Dayabati, member MSCW highlighted the legal rights of women and the purpose of establishing the office of MSCW.
T Chuongsin Koireng gave the vote of thanks.
The programme jointly organised by MSCW with Aba Temai Development Society, Senapati was attended by Thumlip Tiningpham Monsang, chairperson (i/c) MSCW; Lourembam Dayabati, member MSCW; T Chuongsin Koireng, member MSCW; Ashiho Adani, chairman Kaibi Village and Daikho Sale, chairperson, Women Society, Kaibi Village as presidium members.
