'The Tangkhul Express' office inaugurated at Phungreitang

Ukhrul, September 10 2021: Dr Dhabali Thangjam, chairman and managing director, Babina group of companies on Friday inaugurated the office of "The Tangkhul Express", a youtube news channel at Phungreitang West, Ukhrul.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Dhabali highlighted the importance of media and said that it could broadly be categorized into 'Print' and 'Electronic media' .

He mentioned that Electronics media has gradually overtaken print media as there is no limitation to electronic media, it can instantaneously disseminate information far and wide.

Micheal Shaiza, president of Ecological Rehabilitation Association and District BJP leader highlighted the roles and responsibilities of media persons while adding that media should take the initiative to bridge the gap between the Government and the public, not merely reporting the event.

"Ukhrul District is lacking behind in this field as compared with other districts of the State, so far there is only one publishing house 'the Aja Daily' and 20 minutes dialect news in AIR", he added.

Gil Christ, co-founder of TTE in his keynote address stressed on the objectives of the TTE and said that the team is prepared to serve the people with dedication and sincerity for the welfare of the district.

During the programme, renowned Tangkhul musicians, Chungsangla Jajo and Mayo Chithung entertained the gathering with Tangkhul songs.

Ashang Kasar, social activist; TTE advisor, Sothing Kashung and TNFA president, Chingya Chawung also encouraged the public with their speeches.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by TTE Staff, well wishers, families, friends and supporters.
