Imphal, September 10 2018: Prime Minister Narendra Modi would talk with ASHAs, Anganwadi workers and ANMs of Chandel district in the form of video conference tomorrow on effective immunization in the district.

The Prime Minister would be talking with ASHAs, ANMs and Anganwadi workers as Chandel district has achieved 100 per cent immunization target under Mission Indradanush apart from carrying out successful Measles-Rubella campaign, informed a source.

Narendra Modi would talk with ASHAs, ANMs and Anganwadi workers of eight selected States through video conference starting from 10 am.

Due arrangements for the video conference have been completed at Chandel district headquarters, said the source.

ASHAs, ANMs and Anganwadi workers would talk with the Prime Minister about how Chandel district achieved 100 per cent immunization target and how ASHAs and Anganwadi workers identified pregnant women after a house to house survey.

On the other hand, Ministry of Rural Development has chosen Manipur for an award for introduction of DBT for all pensioners of the State.

Union Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar would hand over the award to Social Welfare Secretary Jacintha Lazarus at a function scheduled tomorrow at New Delhi, added the source.
