Lions Club of Imphal fetes Dr Bonbirdhwaja

Lions Club of Imphal, Lions International District 322D, organised a felicitation ceremony in honour of its member Lion Dr Akham Bonbirdhwaja Singh who was conferred an Honorary Doctorate Degree by World Environment Protection Commission, New Delhi.
Lion Dr Bonbirdhwaja, who is the chairman of the Club's Environment Committee was conferred the degree on November 20, 2024 at Teen Murti Bhavan, New Delhi.
During the felicitation ceremony held at Lions Service Centre, Sangaiprou on Sunday, Lion Dr Bonbirdhwaja expressed his deep gratitude to the Club for the felicitation.
He said that the Lions International is held in high esteem by many organisations because of the selfless services rendered by various clubs under it for the welfare of the community.
Past district governor Lion H Manikumar Singh also presented the International President's pin to Lion Dr Bonbirdhwaja.
Notably, Lion Dr Bonbirdhwaja was a member of Indian Forest Service (IFS) and retired as Conservator of Forest in Forest Department, Manipur.
He has written many books on Forestry and is a regular contributor of articles to "The Sangai Express" .
