'100-Day Intensified Campaign on TB Elimination' launched at Kakching, Chandel

The District Health Society, Kakching, under the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP), launched the 100-day Intensified Campaign on Tuberculosis (TB) Elimination Programme for Kakching district today.
The event held at the conference hall of DC Kakching was attended by Rohit Anand, Deputy Commissioner of Kakching, Dr Thaodem Rajen, CMO Kakching and P Sanahal, Caretaker Councillor of Ward number 4, Kakching Municipal Council.
The campaign was inaugurated by Rohit Anand, DC Kakching and flagged off the "Nikshay Vahan" for the district.
Speaking at the event, Rohit Anand stated that the Government's initiative to eliminate TB from the country requires collective efforts and urged the Medical Department staff, Civil Society Organizations, Clubs and the public of Kakching to actively contribute and work together to achieve the goal of eradicating TB from the district.
CHANDEL
As part of the Indian Government's mission to eradicate TB by 2025, Chandel district joined the nation in launching the "100-Day Intensified Campaign on Tuberculosis Elimination" today at the District TB Centre, Chandel.
The program organized by the District Health Society, Chandel in collaboration with NTEP was graced by the Chief Medical Officer, Chandel, Dr Joyson Matthew Monsang, DACO, Chandel, Dr B Cingdeihnieng and District TB Officer, Chandel Dr Tongen Roel as presidium members.
Speaking at the event, Dr Tongen Roel stressed on the objective of the campaign and also emphasized the important roles to be played by the ASHA and Anganwadi workers in the campaign.
CMO, Chandel, Dr Joyson Mathew Monsang, urged the public to extend full support in making Chandel a TB free district.
As part of today's function, "Nikshay Mitra" food baskets were also distributed to TB patients of the district by the dignitaries.
Later the "Nikshay Vahan" was also flagged off by the chief guest, marking the official launch of the 100 days campaign.
It may be mentioned that the 100-Days Campaign is an intensive mission aimed at identifying and treating undiagnosed TB cases in the community.
This initiative is a decisive step towards achieving the goal of a TB-free society by detecting cases early, preventing the spread of infection, and ensuring comprehensive care for affected individuals.
