A nine-member delegation of BJP Manipur Pradesh led by Th.Chaoba Singh, State president along with Asnikumar Singh, State general secretary, L Susindro Singh, State secy, P Sharatchandra (Retd IAS), Md AR Khan (Retd IAS), Kh Joykisan (Ex MLA), Th.Biswajit (Ex MLA), K.Saratkumar, Ng.
Robert State executive members met Union Home Minister Rajnath, National president of BJP Amit Saha, Ramlaji and Ram Madhop National general secretaries of BJP and senior officials of Home Ministry.
They also met RN Ravi, interlocutor of Govt.of India on Indo-Naga peace talk at his office chamber, Sansad Marg, New Delhi for 90 minutes.
A memorandum was also submitted to the Prime Minister.
Union Home Minister Rajnath, Amit Saha National president BJP and RN Ravi assured that there would not be any disturbance to the existing geographical and political boundary of Manipur.
There would not be any disturbance in the administrative set up of Manipur on account of the Indo-Naga peace deal.
As demanded by the said delegation, there will be a wide consultation with all stakeholders while terms and reference are being drafted in this regard.
The State Govt as well as representatives of prominent civil societies functioning in the State will be involved in the process of consultation.
All the said national leaders appeal to the people of Manipur to maintain calm and extend co-operation in making the consultation process purposeful, conveyed a press release issued by Asnikumar Singh, State general secretary (Adm/Co-ordination), BJP Manipur Pradesh.
BJP Manipur Pradesh will leave no stone unturned in the endeavour to protect the sanctity of the territory and interests of Manipur, it added.
