ATBA threatens total bandh along NH-102

All Tribal Blind Association (ATBA), Manipur has threatened to impose a total bandh along National Highaway (NH) 102, Imphal-Moreh route from April 14, 5.00 am onwards if the State Government fails to meet its demands.
The ATBA in a press statement has accused the State Government of failing to translate its assurance on recognising and providing grant in aid towards Mission Blind School located at Heikakpokpi Village in Chandel district.
The association recalled that on April 2, Education, CAF & PD Minister M Okendro has assured to discuss the matter with the Chief Minister.
However, till today there has been no positive response from the State Government, said the association.
ATBA warned that if the Government failed to respond by April 13, it would launch a total bandh along NH�102 .
