Manipur Home Guards celebrates 62nd Foundation Day

Imphal, December 06 2024: Manipur Home Guards (Valley Area) celebrated its 62nd Foundation Day at its headquarters in Lamphel today.

It was attended by Manipur Home Guards (Valley Area), Commandant, Soibam Sachidananda; Deputy Commandant, Th Bidyapati; Assistant Commandant, A Nando; Manipur Home Guard Employees Welfare Association president, Y Mangi and Commanders of Home Guards Battalions.

Speaking on the occasion, Soibam Sachidananda lauded the home guards for their dedication and commitment towards their duties especially during this crucial juncture.

He also highlighted the role and contributions of home guards who have been assigned myriad of duties in assisting police and maintaining law & order.

The Commandant conveyed that he visited all the 5 Home Guard Battalions and interacted with the volunteers to understand their grievances and needs.

He also assured to take necessary steps to address the grievances & needs of the home guards.

Furthermore, Soibam Sachidananda expressed hope that the home guards will continue to perform their duties diligently & sincerely, to ensure the safety & security of the people.

Cultural programmes and felicitation of outstanding home guard personnel & officials were the main highlights of the event.
