Community hall inaugurated at Lamphelpat

A newly constructed community hall within Ipathoukok Cultural Complex at Lamphelpat and a temple of Ima Panthoibi were inaugurated today by former DGP Y Joykumar.
The cultural complex which covers 7.5 acres is providing sanctuary to three species of lotus and Kombirei flower which is closely associated with many legends of Manipur.
The cultural complex was conceptualised and developed with the primary objectives of preserving and promoting indigenous culture and games of Manipur like Pena, Khongjom Parva, Mukna Takhatnabi, Kang etc.
For his moral and cultural support in materialising the complex, the managing body of the complex conveyed gratitude to former DGP Joykumar.
Speaking at the occasion, Joykumar said that a State level Mukna Takhatnabi competition would be kick-started from this year at the community hall inaugurated today as a part of the 36th Ima Panthoibi Irat Thouni programme currently underway at the Naoremthong complex of Ipa Thoukok.
