Imphal, September 06 2023: Karkinos Manipur Cancer Institute and Research Centre in association with the Deputy Commissioner Office, Imphal East organized a 'One Day Cancer Awareness and Screening Camp' at the Deputy Commissioner Office in Imphal East on Monday.

The program was attended by Khumanthem Diana Devi, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Imphal East; Dr (Prof) GS Moirangthem, Director & CEO, Karkinos Manipur Cancer Institute and Research Centre along with SDOs, officers and staff of the DC Office.

The detection program included awareness sessions, risk assessment and screening for 6 major forms of cancer which included � oral, breast, cervical, lungs, prostate and colorectal.

Karkinos Healthcare Manipur also organized a health awareness programme at the Conference Hall of DC Office to create awareness about the importance of proper diet, hygiene, fitness and healthy lifestyle.

A highly experienced medical team headed by Dr Th James, consultant, Onco Gynaecologist along with RMOs and nurses were present to conduct the cancer screening program.
