Senapati, August 06 2015: John Hingba elected from Oklong-DCC and native of Katomei village was elected unanimously as the Vice-Chairman of Senapati ADC.

As expected and planned, the brief programme of election completed without any last minute changes.

Proposed by Kathipri of Punanamai-DCC and seconded by Veini Duo of Phaibung-DCC, the election of new vice chairman will finally put to rest all kinds of formalities to kick off the official functioning of the Senapati ADC.

John Hingba is one of the most respected ADC members.

ADC Chairman ML Markson officially conducted the election and also pronounced the name of the new Vice-Chairman .

The oath taking ceremony which soon followed was held in the presence of MLA Alexander Pao, ADC Chairman Markson, DC Jacintha Lazarus, IAS, ADC members, CEO Rang Peter, MCS, Tadubi SDO Ganguiliu Gangmei, MCS, Song Song SDO Adahrii Maheo, MCS, frontal bodies, Tribe leaders, Village leaders, party workers and family members of the new vice-chairman.

In his acceptance speech, the new Vice Chairman called for a collective effort to tackle various issues of the fistrict.

"Irrespective of political parties we belong, let us commit ourselves to work together and create our district a vibrant and developed district" he said.
