Ukhrul, July 05 2015 : Organized by Ukhrul District e-Governance Society, Digital India week was observed at DRDA Conference Hall, Mini Secretariat today, reports Mungchan Zimik.

During the occasion, Modak Hrisheekesh Arvind , Deputy Commissioner, Ukhrul spoke on the need of digitising all the district departments to ensure transparency in governance.

He said Facebook page will be created soon for the purpose.

Chitra Sen, DIO, Ukhrul stressed on Digital Locker Account in order to enable sharing of e-documents across agencies and individuals.

In the meantime film on Digital Manipur was screened.

Prizes for district level IT quiz competition which was held as part of the observation were distributed by the DC.

Ningshem Vashum, SP, Ukhrul, Ashish Kumar , Officer Commanding, BRO Ukhrul, SDOs from all the blocks and district level officers along with teachers and students attended the programme.
