ASHA training concludes

The five days ASHA training for 6th and 7th Module of 1st to 4th round under National Urban Health Mission, Thoubal concluded today.
The programme was organised by District Health Society, Thoubal at NHM Training Hall, CMO Complex, Thoubal.
24 ASHAs under Urban Health Mission participated in the training programme which began from March 30 .
District Programme Manager of District Health Society Thoubal, Ch Basanta Singh, District Finance Manager Y Shyamo Singh, District Community Mobiliser Md Riyas Sheikh and District Urban Consultant L Khogendro Singh attended the function as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
Ch Basanta Singh highlighted the key objectives of organising the programme.
He stated that the programme was hosted for the ASHAs to enhance their knowledge and skills in new methods and techniques so as to increase their effectiveness in achieving the desired healthcare outcomes.
Y Shyamo said that there will be 'focus group discussion programme' in all the 18 wards of Thoubal Municipal Council in the coming weeks and appealed to the Mahila Arogya Samitis to extend full cooperation to successfully implement the urban health programmes.
Resource Persons like T Mombi Devi, ToT and Rukshana Begum taught all the modules to the ASHAs through powerpoint presentation, group discussion, role play and live demonstration.
Certificates and prizes were distributed by the dignitaries to ASHAs position holders of quiz competition.
