HIM organises voluntary blood donation camp

As part of the ongoing 5th Singju Festival-2020, Humane Initiatives Manipur (HIM) in collaboration with Department of Transfusion Medicine, Imphal organised a one-day voluntary blood donation camp at District Sports Complex (Kodompokpi Ground), Wangjing, Thoubal District, today.
The blood donation camp was supported by State Blood Cell, National Health Mission Manipur.
IPSA general secretary, AK Sanjoy Meitei; Singju Festival Committee convenor, Laimujam Pratap and social worker Keisham Kaminikumar graced the camp as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
At the camp, convenor of HIM, Amom Jenil Meitei said that HIM had conducted similar blood donation as well as free medical camps in the past too to give healthcare facilities and provide blood to the poor and disadvantaged people.
Appealing all to inform HIM as and when they need blood, he added that the Initiative will do its best to provide requisite blood at free of cost.
If all the people in the State are aware of the benefits of donating blood, there will be no lack of blood in the blood bank, he added.
Altogether 40 individuals including Singju Festival Committee convenor, Laimujam Pratap donated blood in the camp.
The donors were given appreciation certificate, donor card and T-shirt by the Initiative.
