Imphal-Moreh road bandh called off

Following an understanding with the State government, The indefinite bandh along the Imphal � Moreh Highway imposed by the JAC against the murder of Ts Thongkhogin Haokip, Assistant Hindi Teacher at Molnom Junior High School has been called off with immediate effect.
Informing media persons, JAC convenor Mangboi Haokip said that the decision to call off the indefinite bandh was taken in a joint meeting held today at H Kotlenphai village community hall between the JAC and representatives of the State Government.
During the meeting, a memorandum containing 7 point of demands addressed to the Chief Minister was submitted to IFCD Minister.
After discussing the JAC's Charter of demands, the JAC agreed to called off their agitation including the indefinite bandh imposed along the Imphal � Moreh Highway with immediate effect.
IFCD Minister Ngamthang Haokip, 42-Tengnoupal Assembly Constituency's MLA D Korungthang, Chandel ADC Chairman Lhukhosei Zou, Chandel's Deputy Commissioner Robert Singh Kshetrimayum, Tengnoupal's SDO S Khupboi Aimol and SPs of Thoubal and Chandel attended the meeting as representatives of the State Government.
