Moreh meet held amid razmataz

Moreh, January 04 2014 : With the attempt to put across the message of brotherly love among all communities of Moreh and the State in the coming year, the 10th Manipur Imagi Yaipha Paojel 2014 was held amidst fanfare today at Moreh Town Parking.

The programme was jointly organised by All Community Development Organisation, Moreh (ACODOM), Nupi Khunai Chaokhat Lamjing Lup, Moreh and Minority Women Development Society with the support of Meetei Council, Moreh; Hill Tribal Council, Moreh; Manipuri Muslim Council, Tamil Sangam and Govt officials of Moreh.

Parliamentary Secretary, K Meghachandra; MLA D Korungthang; former MLA Bijoy Koijam, president of MOA; I Ibobi, president of ACODOM; Md Salim Khan, President of MMCM; Supurmaniam, VP of TSM; Ginsei Lhungdim, VP of HTC attended the programme as the chief guest and guests of honour respectively.

Special invitees of the programme were Memchoubi Devi, president of PLAMPAM; Y Mani Singh, president of AMUCO; BK Moirangcha, general secretary of AMESCO; Phulindro Konsam, president of COHR; Nabachandra Singh, president of UCM; L Subhas Singh, President of Imphal-Moreh HW Welfare Committee; Th Jamuna Devi, president of NKCLL; Th Ibemhal of KNANL; Mehra Begum of MWDS; Jubeda Begum of MWDA; L Apabi; Lamboi Gangte, member of Chandel ADC; Robert Ksh, ADC, Moreh and RK Sanayaima, advisor of ACODOM.

Presentation of cultural dances and songs by various artists marked the programme.

The organisers intended to put across the message to forget the past and welcome a new beginning with the coming of a New Year.
