LMG, AMSGO extend humanitarian aid

In connection with its 25th Foundation Day celebration, All Manipur Students Guardian Organisation (AMSGO) distributed blankets & other essential items to the Meira Paibis and village volunteers camping at the Haraobung of Ibudhou Nongda Lairen Pakhangba.
The distribution programme was attended by AMSGO general secretary Sumati Sougrakpam, AMSGO vice president Kh Mahendra, treasurer H Borbabu, YLYC advisor Y Basanta, social worker Oinam Romen and AIMS advisor Y Rajesh.
Speaking on the occasion, Sumati Sougrakpam expressed disappointment over the failure of the State and Central Government to end the prolonged conflict which has been going on for more than 9 months in Manipur.

She appealed to the State Government to take necessary steps to end the conflict and restore peace & normalcy in Manipur at the earliest.
As part of the programme, the gathering also offered floral tributes as a mark of respect to the deceased members of AMSGO.
Meanwhile, Like Minded Group (LMG), Manipur in continuation of its philanthropic activities, provided study materials to the displaced students taking shelter at IRE School, Wangjing on Sunday.
A team of LMG led by its secretary Ojit Sorokhaibam and publicity secretary Rakesh Naorem visited the school and provided the study material such as books, pencils, pens, toothpaste, etc to motivate the displaced students.
Notably, the study materials were distributed in connection with the 24th birthday of LMG Manipur member Thoungamba Khundrakpam.
