Bodies plan agitation over missing man

As where-abouts of one K Morungdou Maring from Chandel district remains unknown till date since August last a Joint Action Committee formed on the issue and an organisation have threatened to launch agitation if the Government fails to trace the missing man.
speaking to newspersons at Manipur Press Club today in the presence of JAC members, Association of Independent Minds (AIMS) president Laishram Bimola said Morungdou informed his 23-year old brother K Konai that he was returning home by bus from Thoubal Parking, Keishampat.
Hailing from Langkhongching village under Tengnoupal sub-division of Chandel district, Morungdou took Rs 100 from his younger brother and left their rented quarter here for Thoubal parking on August 5, 2011 at around 3.30 pm.

After some time when the younger sibling tried to contact on phone, Morungdou's cell phone was on switch-off mode, narrated Bimola adding that from the said day Morungdou had been missing.
Besides filing a report at City police station on August 7 the Chief Minister was on September 30 urged to take appropriate measures to find Morungdou but to no avail till date, lamented the AIMS functionary.
Morungdou's wife Muonu Maring (32), who also spoke to the media fervently appealed to all concerned to provide any information about her husband at the earliest.
They have a five-year old daughter and a son of one year, she informed while reiterating her appeal for safe release of Morungdou, in case any group is responsible for his abduction.
On the otherhand, JAC members present at the media briefing said democratic form of agitation would be launched if the Government do not produce Morungdou at the earliest.
