Health Minister launches Surakshit Matritva Aswasan Scheme for CHC Wangoi

Health and family Welfare and IPR Minister, Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh has launched Surakshit Matritva Aswasan (SUMAN) Scheme at CHC Wangoi today.
The Minister also launched the operationalization of operation theatre.
SUMAN scheme has been launched with the objective to provide free quality health care to every woman and newborn visiting a public health facility.
Speaking as the chief guest at the occasion, Dr Sapam Ranjan said that it is a landmark achievement of the department to make the operation theatre operational and launching of the SUMAN scheme.
He continued that the new activity will now benefit the people residing in and around Wangoi.

The Minister also maintained that the primary health care system needs to be focused since it is the foundation of the tertiary health care system and for a better health care delivery system, a better grassroot health care service is necessary.
In this regard, commitment of the health care professionals is very much required.
It is through the sincere and dedicated service of the health staff that the goal of global health can be achieved, he added.
He also stressed on the importance of periodical tests and regular health check-ups for one's good health.
He went on to inform that appropriate policies to achieve the best health care service in the State will be chalked out in consultation with the Chief Minister and other stakeholders.
The Minister also assured to provide required staff, machineries and infrastructures of CHC, Wangoi on a priority basis.
Later the Minister visited different departments and inspected the infrastructure and facilities of CHC Wangoi and also interacted with the doctors and staff of the centre.
While speaking at the occasion MLA of Wangoi AC, Khuraijam Loken lauded the dedicated and sincere service of the staff of the CHC.
Former Minister O Lukhoi Singh,V Vumlunmang, IAS, ACS, Govt of Manipur, Yumnam Nilamani, Vice Chairman, Khadi & Village Industries Board, Dr K Rajo Singh, Director Health Services and Dr Somorjit Ningombam, Mission Director, State Health Society also graced the occasion as the presidium members.
