Imphal, March 31 2017: Assistant Professor Interview Candidates Forum 2014 has demanded the authority concerned to announce the result of the Assistant Professor recruitment examination conducted by Manipur Public Service Commission on October 27,2015, at the earliest.

Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, a member of the forum, Dr Mayengbam Lalit Singh said, "The- State Government had issued a notification on November 2014 for the recruitment of 703 Assistant Professors.

Out of these total posts, 418 were for regularising the part time ' teachers while 285 were for direct recruitment under MPSC.

On November 15, MPSC issued an advertisement under.

order number 15/2014 for the recruitment of 280 Assistant Professors of 28 Government colleges.

On December 11, The same year, some candidates filed a petition under Manipur Reservation Rule 2011 to the High Court.

As a result, Manipur High Court Justice Kh Nobin issued ' an interim order which led to MPSC conducting a screening test on October 27, 2015 . He said, "The results of the screening test were declared on December 3, the same year, and the interview/personalit test was conducted from January 11 to 19, 20l6 .

He pointed out-that the results of the interview were also declared within three weeks.

Lalit claimed that despite an order from the High Court dated January 11,2017, the examination results have not been declared till now, even after a new Government has come to power.

He further urged the new Government to declare the results at the earliest and ease the plight of the candidates.
