Imphal, January 31 2022: A free 45-days revision coaching for Class X students organised by All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) Yairipok Top branch began on Monday at Andro Gramsang Primary School.

Speaking on the occasion, Laishram Athouba, vice president AMSU HQ stated that owing to the pandemic, coaching classes had been halted for a long time.

However, judging by the current scenario, he expressed apprehension about students not actually gaining any knowledge as promotion to the next higher classes are automatic.

"This will prove to be very damaging to the student community", he asserted.

Athouba continued that student bodies have appealed to the Chairman and Controller of BOSEM and COHSEM to ensure that Class X and XII exams are conducted without fail.

Stating that the officials had assured to conduct the exams, he urged the students to focus their attention on studies despite the uncertainties.

The opening ceremony was attended by L Debendro Singh, Headmaster, Bal Vidya Mandir and Andro Gramsang Primary School Headmaster, H Dharmachandra Singh.
