Imphal, December 31 2012: The passing out parade for new jail recruits including four Head Warders and 6 Warders was held today with Addl DGP (Prisons) MK Das as the chief guest.

Director MPTC P Doungel and other police and prison officials were present at the occasion, said a statement issued by the SP of Manipur Central Jails, IK Muivah today.

The recruits were trained under the Manipur Police Training College.

The new Head Warders and Warders have been trained and inducted after a gap of more than two decades, said the statement.

Addressing the function, MK Das exhorted the newly recruited jail personnel to work sincerely.

The Addl DGP also stated that all vacancies will be filled through recruitment in 2013 so that the jail can function more effectively.

The best trainees were awarded commendation certificates, in which Warder Letkhongam Guite was adjudged the best in PT, Warder RK Sanajon Singh in Drill, Warder Longingani Kamei in Discipline and Head Warder O Bobson was adjudged the Best All Rounder.
