MPTC to terminate MLA Dr I Ibohalbi

Following the rule stated in the 10th schedule of the Indian Constitution, MPTC said it would post a complain to the speaker against the former MPTC member Dr I Ibohalbi for exiting MPTC to join the Th Shyamkumar led party, MPTCC.
In a press conference held at Manipur press club today, MPTC general secretary Kh Jiken demanded that Dr Ibohalbi should clarify on his current position, whether he have exited MPTC to join MPTCC as the party's legislature wing leader or he still considers himself a member of the original MPTC party.
Jiken further stated that the party would formally request the speaker to remove Dr Ibohalbi from his MLA post in case he fails to clarify his position.
The MPTC was formed with the approval from AITC president Mamata Banerjee on April 2010.Jiken further stated that MPTC is not split into sub-parties.
MLA Th Shayamkumar had earlier left the party to form his own party by the name MPTCC, he added.
Other followers of the Shyamkumar led party namely S Manaobi, Pramo, Premananda and Bishwanath are all active members of MPTC.
These workers, Jiken informed, have been notified to clarify to the original MPTC party within a week.
Failing to comply, he added, these workers would be terminated from the party.
