CPI candidate RK Amusana kick-starts election campaign

CPI State secretary L Sotinkumar has alleged that the drug lords and contractors are fighting for the place meant for politicians in the State Assembly.
He made the allegations while attending the launching of election campaign for CPI candidate RK Amusana in Khurai AC and added that the State has become one of the most corrupted State with contractors doing Rs 5 crore worth of work for a project worth Rs 50 crore trying to get their way to the State Assembly.
Money and muscle power are being used extensibly by such people to woo away voters, he added.
He also alleged that there are certain reports that money and gifts are being offered to people to attend their election meetings.
L Sotinkumar appealed to the people to vote for the right candidate as choosing the right candidate is vital for the welfare of the people and the State.
CPI candidate RK Amusana said if he is elected as representative from the AC, he will work for the welfare of the senior citizens, women, children and the underprivileged.
He also assured that a committee will be formed for the welfare of the AC comprising of all local clubs and CSOs.
