Imphal, March 26 2018: The State Government has issued a show cause notice against Zilladar of SDO office Porompat and general secretary of JAC of All Manipur Trade Unions Council and the All Manipur Government Employees Organisation, L Biken Singh, in connection with the cease work strike by employees demanding implementation of 7th pay in the State as well as for participating in various discussion in media regarding the issue.

An order to this effect was issued by Imphal East DC, Th Chitra Devi today.

According to the show cause notice issued by the DC, the act of participating in Manung Hutna and Discussion Hour on Impact TV and ISTV respectively on March 22 and giving press briefing on ISTV on March 24, in connection with matters related to implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations and other demands, are in violation of the provisions of Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1964.It further informed Biken to submit a written application within 24 hours as to why appropriate disciplinary actions should not be initiated against him.
