Imphal, September 25 2012:
Peeved at the alleged attitude of the Government authority for failing to maintain relaxation of 5 percent for physically handicapped candidates in the TET exams, the All Tribal Disables' Union, Manipur (ATDUM) has warned of launching democratic form of agitation if the authority fails to rectify the alleged omission.
A statement issued by the president of ATDUM has also demanded that TET exam centres be opened at all district headquarters.
The statement decried that the relaxation of eligible criteria and pass marks of physically handicapped candidates as laid down by the authority in regard to TET exam were 45 percent and 50 percent respectively.
This relaxation is same with the relaxation extended to the ST candidates.
It also stated that the price of TET forms @ Rs 300 is too high for some deprived candidates.
Inviting corrective measures from the authority, the ATDUM said it would launch democratic form of agitation in the hill districts if the authority fails to initiate corrective measures within a
week's time.
