"International Day against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking" observed across State

As observed across the globe, International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was observed in various parts of the State today to spread awareness about the global drug problem and eliminate drug abuse.
KANGPOKPI
Kangpokpi District Police observed International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking under the motto, "Nashe Se Azadi Pakhwada" in various police stations of the district.
At Kangpokpi Police Station, a rally was held with active participation of 4th IRB-Kalapahar Outpost and Reserve Line, SP Kangpokpi.
The rally was participated by about 80 personnel.
Kangchup Police Station also carried out a rally from Singda Bazar to Tuikun Bazar with the participation of 22 AR, Kangchup COB and villagers of Tuikon.
Moreover, an awareness programme was held at New Keithelmanbi Police Station.
It was attended by village chiefs, KSO volunteers, Youth Clubs, women unions and 10-Assam Rifles Noney Bn Kotlen COB.
It may be mentioned that Saikul Police Station and Kangpokpi Police Station will also organise similar rallies on June 26 while Gamnom Saparmeina Police Station will conduct an awareness programme on June 27 .

NONEY
In line with the observance of International Day against Drug and Illicit Trafficking, Noney District Police organised a mass awareness rally at Longmai Noney Bazar.
The participants holding placards with the slogans, "Not to sell & use any kinds of Drugs in Noney District", "Let's root out drug from Noney District", "No to drug-Yes to life", etc went from Ijei River Bridge Point to Junction Gate of Noney District Police HQ.
Around 70 police personal led by Additional SP, Peter Namsadai Pamei, MPS and John Lokho, MPS, Additional SP; members of Longmai Bazar Youth Club, Longmai Area Nisha Bandh; PLVs of Noney Legal Aid Clinic; and students of Sharon English High School took part in the rally.
Moreover, a poster campaign was also carried out in different locations of Noney District HQ .
SENAPATI
Senapati Police Station and Women Police Station, Senapati organised a rally against drug abuse and illicit trafficking on the theme, "Share drug facts, save life" .
It was participated by members of Karong Senapati Town Committee, Senapati District Students Association and Senapati District Women's Association among others.
Mao Police in collaboration with Mao Civil Organizations also organised a rally under the theme, "Drug Free India" at Mao Gate.
TENGNOUPAL
On the occasion of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Kuki Student Organisation Moreh Block and Moreh Youth Club also carried out a mass rally with the theme, "Better knowledge for better care" from Forest Gate, Moreh to Moreh Town.
HTC president Victor Limthang flag off the rally participated by students from various schools of Moreh.
As part of the event, a seminar was also conducted on "International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking" at Hill Tribal Council Moreh conference hall.
It was attended by Md Raza Israil, CO 5AR; Sukumar, ASP (LO) Moreh; SK Gangte, SP Land Custom Station Moreh; community leaders of Moreh; Kuki Chief Association, KWU & HR, Moreh Pastor Fellowship, KKL, ICCM and representatives of various rehabilitation centers located in Moreh.
