Retired IPS of National Human Rights Commission, Anil Pardhan has rated a 100 per cent improvement in anganwadi centres and sub-district hospitals, Moreh based on his last visit to the centres and hospitals.
He was talking to media persons during an inspection drive with NHRC officials to anganwadi centres and sub-district hospitals in Moreh today.
The district hospitals, he informed, have improved remarkably in the last few years.
It now performs minor surgeries and child delivery treatments which weren't available before.
During his visit to the anganwadi centre at Moreh Bazar, Pardhan assured increment of wages for anganwadi workers and timely provision of food items for the children.
The team would also visit other anganwadi centres and district hospitals in the State before submitting a detailed report to the Chief Secretary, Government of Manipur on March 27, our correspondent reports.
