JAC reiterates demands to Govt

The Joint Administrative Council (JAC) of All Manipur Trade Unions' Council and All Manipur Government Employees' Organisation has retetrated their demand and submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister today.
Drawing the attention of Chief Minister N Biren Singh, the memorandum listed several issues and demands it had raised earlier.
Asking for early solutions, the JAC demanded payment of DA/DR at par with Central Government Employees with effect from January 2023 onwards.
Necessary sum to be incurred should be reflected in the revised estimate 2022-23 and budget estimate 2023-24, it said.
The JAC also asked the Government for early payment of the outstanding dues to the pensioners/family pensioners on priority basis.
Asking extension of service period of the Government employees by another 2 years by fixing the retirement age at 62, the JAC said such a policy will lower the existing financial burden on payment of retirement benefits.
It also urged the Government to scrap the New Pension System (NPS) and restore the Old Pension Scheme in the interest of State Govt employees.
Other demands of the JAC include--
Immediate payment of Final GPF accumulations to retired employees and allowing withdrawal of Advance & Part Final GPF of employees;
Appeals for payment of all retirement benefits including leave salary to confirmed work charged employees of Engineering Department;
Service confirmation of work charged employees who have attained the eligibility criteria under CPWD Manual;
Amendment of notification No 1/1/2019-FD(PIC) dated 07.01.2022 of GOM, Secretariat:
Finance Department (PIC) to create room for inclusion of work charge confirmed drivers in the revised level of Pay Matrix;
Filling up of all sanctioned post vacancies at an early date;
No to preferential service extension of officers working in Secretariat Services and other Departments beyond their date of retirement;
Arrangement of a meeting of Minimum Wages Board for revision of rate of casual and muster roll employees at an early date;
A policy for inter transfer of Secretariat Service employees with their corresponding Departments;
Extension of medical reimbursement benefits to retired employees as is done in respect of MLAs/Ex-MLAs and their families.
