Myanmar refuses to take 1 Rohingya Muslim from India

Myanmar authorities declined to take a Rohingya Muslim from Indian authorities due to missing Certificate of Identity (CI) documents today.
The individual, identified as one Md Fayaj Ahammed (47) s/o Md Shahid from Rakhine State, Myanmar, had been in Indian custody at a Rajasthan Jail for around 7 years and 6 months on charges of entering the country illegally.
During the prisoner handing over today at Indo-Myanmar Friendship Bridge, Immigration Officer L Meghabarna, OC Letkhohao, Immigration OC Nabakumar and Rajasthan police officials were present as well.
However, after the Myanmar authorities declined to take the Rohingya due to incomplete documents, he was taken back by the Indian authorities again.
