Meetei Council Moreh members call on Chief Minister

Imphal, July 23 2024:
A team of Meetei Council Moreh called on Chief Minister N Biren Singh urging for expedition of restoration of peace in strife-torn Manipur and resettlement of displaced people at their respective native lands at the earliest.
The 10-member team of Meetei Council Moreh was led by its president M Thoiba.
The Chief Minister apprised the team that the Central and State Government has been making dedicated efforts to resolve the ethnic conflict which has been going on for more than 14 months.

The members of Meetei Council Moreh also appealed to the Chief Minister to make special arrangements so as to provide the due benefits to the displaced victims from Moreh who could not be accommodated in relief camps and are taking shelter at their relatives or friends' places.
The Chief Minister also assured to take up all possible measures for the welfare of these people.
